Proof the yeast with warm water, sugar, and salt. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Add flour until dough doesn't stick to sides of bowl.
<br>Spray a bowl with pam and toss dough in bowl. Cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
<br>Roll out 1 1/2 times the length of a jelly roll pan, the same width. Cut 1/2" strips. You don't want the strips to be too thick. You can cut the width in half if you want shorter breadsticks.
<br>Pick up a strip and twist ends in opposite directions. Stick the ends together and twist again (it should twist on itself).
<br>Put cookie sheet in oven with a cube of butter to melt. Roll sticks in butter and lay in pan. Keep bread sticks close together. Sprinkle garlic salt and parmesan cheese over top. Let rise another 15 min. Bake at 400 for 15-20min. Check bread sticks after 10 min. if bread sticks are short.
